Tulsa Real Estate - How to Improve Curb Appeal When Selling Your Home

by Randy Gasswint

Tulsa OK Real Estate Curb Appeal

Your Tulsa, OK real estate is up for sale and you are scrambling around making sure everything sparkles and shines for the prospective buyers that you be showing the home. When you get everything inside to your specifications, the outside will be the main focus. Many home buyers will not want to see the inside of your home if the outside does not appeal to them. Take the time and use a few pointers on how to get your home ready for buyers.

Check it Out for Yourself

Go to the corner or the street and take a good, hard, long look at your home. What does it say? The view you are seeing right now is the one prospective buyers will be viewing. Do you have overgrown grass? Are your window sills in need of paint? Is the front entrance cluttered with items that should be in the garage? Make sure the front entrance of your home looks appealing and do not forget the back as well.

Add Nighttime Ambiance

Make your home attractive at night as well as the daylight hours. By adding solar or low voltage lights to the driveway your home can have a nice look. The Tulsa, OK homes that are lit enough for security but not glaring at the rest of the homes on the street will give potential buyers the impression that this home is in a good area and is well taken care of by the owners.

Landscaping Can Make a Difference

When considering the appearance of the outside of your Tulsa, OK real estate, it can have too much or too little. The bushes and trees that adorn your yard should not be overboard. The addition of a couple of bushes is fine, but if you add too many it will detract from the look. Flowers are also a nice touch but too many make the lawn look cluttered. If you want an assortment, put them in a container or surrounded by edging or brick so the look is not haphazard.
