BOK Center Wins #2 Spot of Top Tulsa OK Community Venues

The Tulsa OK community has hit the news again with the BOK Center's tremendously successful first year - being rated the 2nd best community venue in the United States and 9th in the world!  The BOK Center seats 19,199 people and is one of 200 venues managed by SMG, headquartered in Philadelphia.  SMG has its hand on over 1.5 million seats throughout various venues in the world.

Having just celebrated their first year anniversary, this Tulsa, OK community venue's staff had high hopes for its success. The numbers for the fiscal year running from July 1st, 2008 through June 30th, 2009, showed that they far exceeded the predictions; $2.8 million in sales tax revenue was made and showed a $1 million venue profit for its first fiscal year.

This year, the ONEOK Outdoor Concert Series will include nine free concerts starting August 5th and running through October 12.  Practically every style of music will be featured including rock, country, and pop. The outdoor performances begin two hours before each headlining act inside the arena with outdoor beer and refreshment sales available. Each of the outdoor shows are free, however you must purchase a ticket to gain admission into the arena.

Tulsa, OK community residents should come out and help celebrate the BOK Center's one-year anniversary on August 17 with the Paul McCartney concert and again on September 17th through the 20th for the Rock 'n Rib Festival, which will feature barbecue and live music.  I'll see you there!
