May 2009 Tulsa, OK Events

For those that love azaleas, Tulsa, Oklahoma has over 15,000 in Woodward Park to be admired this time of year.  May offers other events, besides the azaleas blooming, throughout the entire month that you should be sure and mark your calendar for.  These events will appeal to all age groups and interests:

  • Professional Conference Management Association (PCMA):

This conference promises to be informative as industry leaders share the changes in meetings, tradeshows and conferences. The new normal in this industry involves learning to become a strategic planner using innovative ideas for planning and new technology.  This CEU credited course offers .1 per education session for a total of .5 credits.  It is being held at the Doubletree Hotel in Downtown Tulsa, at 616 W. 7th Street on May 14th through 16th.  You can go to www.pcma.org for more information.

You can dress business casual, and admission is $75.00, and students are $50.00, while space is still available.  It starts on Thursday, May 14th at noon and goes through Saturday, May 16th at 3:00pm.

Besides the conference and networking opportunities, they are going to have a Photo Scavenger Hunt of Tulsa Landmarks with transportation by Tulsa Trolleys. Don’t miss your chance to learn some of the new techniques for survival in these tough economic times, when it comes to planning an event, conference or tradeshow!  Hosted by the Tulsa Convention and Visitors Bureau, this promises to be one of their best Educational Conferences, yet.
